Waddendons Free-Range Duvet by TexelWool

Waddendons is 90% pure Duck Down and originates from the Wadden Islands. It is natural down that has formed in the wild. Due to its high percentage of down, the duvet feels wonderfully light and has a high insulation value.

Waddendons is recognizable by its greyish color, characteristic of genuine free-range down.

TexelWool has expanded its wool collection with a warm and lightweight duvet: Waddendons. The used down comes from thousands of wild ducks, including eider ducks, living in the Wadden Sea area.

Unique

In autumn and winter, wild eider ducks migrate en masse to the Wadden Sea, a rich food area full of cockles and mussels. They stay in the Wadden Sea until spring (after the breeding season). When they leave, they have shed their down feathers, which provide protection against the winter cold.

Sustainably Sourced

The down feathers left behind after the breeding period are collected and processed into this special duvet. Therefore, Waddendons from TexelWool consists of 90% down and 10% feathers obtained in an ecological manner.

Quality

Eider duck down is of high quality and possesses unique properties, making it feel comfortable and providing excellent insulation. A few ounces of Waddendons are sufficient for a wonderfully warm and lightweight duvet. Waddendons is recognizable by its greyish color, characteristic of genuine free-range down.

The duvet is available in a winter (1), all year round (2), spring/autumn (3), and summer (4) version. To create a 4-season duvet, you can easily connect the parts (3 + 4) with buttons.
